COLLIE TRANSITION PACKAGE
608. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the minister representing the
Treasurer:
I refer to the media release by the
Premier and the Minister for Energy of 14 June 2022, titled ''State-owned
coal power stations to be retired by 2030'', which states —
A new $547.4 million Collie
Transition Package will support the town of Collie over the next decade, to
grow new industries and local jobs—bringing the McGowan Government's
investment in the area to over $662 million.
(1) Is the Collie
Futures fund included in the $547 million new package or is it a part of the
difference between the two figures?
(2) Is the Collie
Futures industry attraction and development fund included in the $547 million
new package or is it part of the difference between the two figures?
(3) Please
provide a breakdown of what expenditure is specifically encompassed in the $547
million package and the additional components of the $662 million package.
