A WA parliamentary question seeks details of payments made by Agriculture WA to various industry groups between February 1993 and June 1999. The Minister provided partial data (July 1997-June 1999) and declined to research the earlier period due to resource constraints.

The Minister Replied:
During the period July 1997 to June 1999, Agriculture WA made payments to
Chamber of Commerce & Industry $1,179
Pastoralists & Graziers Assoc $3,335
WA Farmers Federation $34,959
for the purpose of sponsorship registration fees, conferences and subscriptions.
Information relating to the period February 1993 to June 1997 is not readily available and would require considerable resources in order to research the Agency files. I am not prepared to reallocate the necessary resources for that purpose.
