167 credit cards issued by the Department of Health (department) are currently held by 167 staff, including 15 cards issued from April to July 2024.
The total value of purchases (excluding GST) on department issued credit cards during this period was:
· April 2024 - $195,310.57
· May 2024 - $213,071.39
· June 2024 - $235,088.85
· July 2024 - $167,950.44
Over 2,000 transactions were made during this time for a range of operational purchases, including office stationery, staff transport costs, accommodation, operational leases, maintenance services, utilities, software, courier/mail services and staff training courses.
Provision of an itemised breakdown of expenses debited to each individual department issued credit card would require a significant amount of resources and would divert WA Health staff away from their normal duties.
