I refer to the Fremantle Passenger Terminal footbridge that has been closed since August 2022, and I ask: (a) why has the footbridge remained closed since August 2022; (b) if works are needed to improve or maintain the footbridge, are these scheduled and when will they commence; (c) if no to (b), why not; (d) is there a timeline for reopening the footbridge and if so, will the Minister provide an update on the progress towards reopening; and (e) if no to (d), why not?

(a)-(e) The Public Transport Authority closed this footbridge after a structural assessment recommended a maximum load rating of 150kg per square metre be applied, which could be achieved by two people standing next to each other, or by one person with luggage.
