I refer to the redevelopment proposal of the Deanmore Primary School, Deanmore Road Karrinyup, which has been bought to my attention by the Deanmore Residents School Action Group, and I ask -
(1) What decision process was followed to rebuild the school on the oval?
(2) Who made the final decision for the school to be built on the existing oval?
(3) What responsibility has the architect, to adjust the plan to suit the site, rather than adjusting the site to suit the plan?

(1) The architect provided a number of options to the Project Consultation Group for rebuilding Deanmore Primary School. Following discussions regarding the positive and negative aspects of each option in regard to issues such as disruption to students and staff, budget implications, potential soil contamination and relationships of buildings, it was unanimously agreed to build on the oval.
(2) The Project Consultation Group.
(3) The Project Consultation Group guides the architect to adjust the plan to suit the site wherever possible, taking into account all planning and education requirements for the new school.
