UNDERGROUND POWER PROGRAM — INTERRUPTION INDICES
In 2010, what was the system average interruption duration index and system average interruption frequency index for the following proposed round five underground power program project areas — (a) Wilson East; (b) Coolbellup East and Hamilton Hill; (c) Ardross West; (d) Shoalwater; (e) Salter Point; (f) Coolbinia; (g) Ashfield; and (h) Lathlain North and Lathlain South? I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. (a) SAIDI, 1 400; SAIFI, 4.31; (b) Coolbellup East: SAIDI, 530; SAIFI, 2.24; Hamilton Hill: SAIDI, 463; SAIFI, 3.9; (c) SAIDI, 390; SAIFI, 0.95; (d) SAIDI, 106; SAIFI, 0.74; (e) SAIDI, 875; SAIFI, 5.33; (f) SAIDI, 379; SAIFI, 3.59; (g) SAIDI, 346; SAIFI, 2.3; (h) Lathlain: SAIDI, 864; SAIFI, 2.71. The numbers presented are SAIDI and SAIFI figures from January 2010 to January 2011. There are a number of inputs from which these figures are derived. The figures used in the underground power program selection criteria draw on only one of these inputs—overhead faults incidents. Furthermore, underground power program considerations for round five also include factors such as power quality, network growth requirements and network characteristics. Other non-technical factors include the proposed budget and the suitability of the ground for undergrounding.
