Some notice has been given of my question. I refer to the Premier’s commitment in the Parliament yesterday to provide full details of all offenders convicted in other states who are currently on parole in Western Australia. The SPEAKER : Members at the back of the chamber who think it is good to carry on a private conversation to the exclusion of others can desist from that. I call the members for Riverton and Albany to order for the first time. Mr R.F. JOHNSON : I will resume with the first part of the question. (1) Will the Premier provide details of each of these sex offenders, including the nature of their crime, the length of sentence imposed, the length of sentence served, the length of parole to be served or served in Western Australia, and their current location? (2) How many of these sex offenders committed crimes against children? (3) Are all of these sex offenders listed on the national sex offender register? Dr G.I. GALLOP
