I refer to school dental therapy centres in the South West region, and ask —
(1) As at 1 July 2011 and 2012 and for each SW school dental therapy centre, how many staff (by full time equivalent and head count) were employed in the following positions –
(a) Dental Officer;
(b) Dental Therapist;
(c) Dental Clinic Assistant;
(d) Dental Nurse; or
(e) other (specify)?
(2) For each of the school dental therapy centres listed in (1) and as at the dates specified in (1), what was the average waiting time for an appointment?

(1) The School Dental Service (SDS) in the South West Region is divided into two areas based in Bunbury and Busselton.
(a) 1 Dental Officer oversees the clinical program in each area (1 full-time equivalent (FTE)/1 Head Count).

(d) Dental Health Services does not employ Dental Nurses.
(e) Nil.
(2) SDS provides urgent and a general course of care to eligible students upon enrolment. Students are then placed on a recall for a follow up examination dependent upon clinical need. [See tabled paper no]
