144. Hon KATE DOUST to the Leader of the
House representing the Minister for Energy:
I refer to the decision to refurbish
Muja A and B plants.
(1) What is the
value of capacity credit refunds that have been paid in respect of Muja A and
Muja B so far, and what amount of this total has been paid by Verve Energy?
(2) What is the
total value of capacity credit refunds that is expected to be paid in respect
of Muja A and Muja B, and what amount of this total is expected to be paid by
Verve Energy?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) To date,
the value of the capacity credit refunds that have been paid in respect of Muja
A and Muja B is $40 166 975.85, GST inclusive, and none of that amount has been
paid by Verve Energy.
(2) The total
value of capacity credits refunds that is expected to be paid in respect of
Muja A and Muja B is $41 869 290.85, GST inclusive. This includes an amount of
$1 702 315 in addition to that already paid, and none of that amount is
expected to be paid by Verve Energy.
