Again, we continue to work to support all regional local
governments. As I said, we fund airstrips and airports owned by regional
governments. That is what we do. We continue to support airfares throughout
regional WA, and we will continue to do that. We support regional air services
more than anyone. If any issues come up, we work with industry and we give
support, and we will continue to do that.
I know this is not about Carnarvon residents; this is about
the Liberal–Nationals battle. That is all it is about. They go out and
mock the member for North West Central because she is not local enough and they
talk about the real local. They continue to
have this battle. I do not know how you guys got into a situation in which, of
the six of you , two of you are going head to head! I do not understand
that. Out of six of you, how is that two of you are going head to head in what
seems to be one of the most vicious fights in the state, to be honest? I have
not seen Liberal candidates being as vicious to Labor candidates out there, but
they are particularly vicious against the Leader of the Opposition. They must
know him well!
We will continue to support regional councils, airfares and
communities, because there is no bigger friend of regional residents in Western
Australia wanting to fly than this government.
The SPEAKER : Members, that concludes question time.
