I refer to the
government's December 2022 announcement that it would fast-track green energy
approvals by the Green Energy Approvals Initiative.
(1) How many green energy projects have been
submitted to the Environmental Protection Authority for assessment since that
announcement, and please provide the date of each submission and whether they
are still under assessment?
(2) How many green energy projects were submitted
to the EPA for assessment before that announcement, and please provide the date
of each submission and whether they are still under assessment?

(1) Since the establishment of the Department of
Water and Environmental Regulation green energy directorate in 2023, there have
been 23 proposals meeting the government's green energy criteria that have been
referred to the EPA under section 38 of the Environmental
Protection Act 1986 . Referral dates and assessment status are outlined
as follows. It is a table so I seek leave to incorporate it into Hansard .
