I refer to the announcement of free public transport from 24 December 2023 to 28 January 2024, and I ask: (a) During that period how many fines were issued for 'no valid ticket' to persons on: (i) the Airport Train Line; (ii) the Armadale/Thornlie Train Line; (iii) the Fremantle Train Line; (iv) the Joondalup Train Line; (v) the Mandurah Train Line; (vi) the Midland Train Line; and (vii) the entire train network: (A) How many of the fines were issued to persons who identified as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander; (B) How many of the fines were issued to persons who were under the age of 18; and (C) How many of the fines were issued to persons who do not reside in Western Australia; (b) During that period how many fines were issued for 'no valid ticket' to persons using the Ferry services: (i) How many of the fines were issued to persons who identified as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander; (ii) How many of the fines were issued to persons who were under the age of 18; and (iii) How many of the fines were issued to persons who do not reside in Western Australia; and (c) During that period how many fines were issue for 'no valid ticket' to persons using the Bus services: (i) How many of the fines were issued to persons who identified as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ; (ii) How many of the fines were issued to persons who were under the age of 18; (iii) How many of the fines were issued to persons who do not reside in Western Australia; and (iv) How many of the fines were issued to persons while using a bus service in Regional Western Australia?

(a)-(c)  3,971 fines were issued during this period.
Of these, 764 were issues to people under the age of 18, and 34 were issued to people who do not reside in Western Australia.
The Public Transport Authority does not ask passengers who are being infringed any question regarding ethnicity.
