Department of the Premier and Cabinet advises:
The major initiatives referred to in question without notice 410 relate to the Office of Multicultural Interests, and questions without notice 415 and 417 to the Office of Citizens and Civics that ceased on 31 December 2006. The Office of Multicultural Interests was transferred to the Department for Communities on 1 July 2007.
The absence of a reported achievement for 2006-07 identified by question without notice 410 was an oversight that occurred when the new Department for Communities prepared supporting information for Multicultural Interests function for the 2007-08 budget.
With regard to questions without notice 415 and 417, the Office of Citizens and Civics ceased on 31 December 2006, and was therefore unable to deliver the major initiatives that had been projected for 2006-07. The absence of a footnote to this effect is regretted.
