I refer to the Education and Care Regulatory Unit (ECRU) within the Department of Communities, and I ask: (a) Does ECRU maintain an internal rating system for the standard of education and care delivered at registered education and care services providers in Western Australia; and (b) If yes to (a), please outline the levels of this rating scale and how it operates?

This tool supports Western Australia’s regulatory decision-making and considers factors such as quality ratings, compliance history, confirmed breaches, service type, and location.
