I refer to Alcoa's bauxite mining operations in Western Australia, along those of its subsidiaries and associated companies, and I ask: (a) how many tenements are held by each company, broken down by the type, number, and hectare size; (b) when are each of the mining license held by the companies identified at (a) due to expire; (c) how many hectares have been mined in each of the last five years; (d) what is the total area mined to date; (e) what is the total area cleared to date for mines,
roads, conveyor belts, residue disposal and any other purpose; (f) how much of the total area mined required the clearing of native forest; (g) how much of the total area cleared was native
forest; (h) how many hectares have been rehabilitated to date; (i) how much of the area at (h) has been rehabilitated with
Jarrah forest species; (j) how much rehabilitated forest has been returned to
the State over the last 10 years; (k) what is the current annual production, in metric
tonnes, of: (i) bauxite; and (ii) alumina; (l) how many hectares are currently used as Residue
Disposal Areas; (m) what is the total area of closed Residue Disposal
Areas; (n) how much residue has been produced in each of the
last five years; (o) what is the total amount of residue produced to
date; (p) when did Alcoa begin exporting bauxite; (q) how much bauxite has been exported to date; and (r) will the Minister table a map showing: (i) the mining leases; (ii) the area mined to date; (iii) Residue Disposal Areas; (iv) all other areas from which jarrah forest has been
