BROCK BURSTON — POLICE PROSECUTION
503. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to the answer provided to question on notice 695,
which revealed a cost to the state of $28 196.04 for the failed two-day
prosecution of Brock Burston in the Kununurra Magistrates Court.
(1) What was
the total cost of detectives from the Perth-based financial crimes squad
travelling to Kununurra to investigate Mr Burston before charging him?
(2) Was any other expenditure directly incurred associated
with the failed prosecution?
(3) If yes to (2), what were those items of expenditure, and
how much were they?
