I have made a lot of promises. I said
that I will continue to provide strong, stable government to the people of Western
Australia. Even though we have lost one of the great political leaders of our
era, I will continue to make sure that this government delivers for the people
of Western Australia. Whether they are living in the suburbs of Perth or in our
great regions of Western Australia, I will continue to make sure that we are
growing our economy. I will continue to make sure that we are creating local
jobs and educating our kids and giving them opportunities for the future. I will
continue to make sure that they are cared for when they fall ill. I will
continue to make sure they live in safe communities. That is what a Labor
government does and that is why it endorsed me as Premier.
