I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1)-(2) It is not the intention of the government to seek change to the options currently available. As part of the school leaving age strategy, the Department of Education and Training is conducting a review of educational provision in district high schools on a site-by-site basis. This may result in an alteration of programs offered by some district high schools. However, it is anticipated that this review will not affect the current bypass arrangements. Parents of students in locations currently able to access these allowances will continue to be able to do so in the future.
