FREMANTLE PORT — ASSET SALES
155. Mr M. McGOWAN to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. Has
cabinet government broken down in Western Australia, where we now have two
cabinets, one of which agrees with government spending decisions and another
does not?

AnswerView source ↗

I have just explained, I think, very
clearly, the way the alliance arrangement works.
Mr
M. McGowan : Chaos and dysfunction—it is a hopeless case.
Mr
C.J. BARNETT : A hopeless case, is it? Chaos and dysfunction, is it? I will
tell members what is chaotic and dysfunctional—when four ministers are
dragged before the Corruption and Crime Commission and another one fails to
declare a conflict of interest on a decision of cabinet that enhanced his
personal wealth. That is dysfunctional!
Several members interjected.
The
SPEAKER : I do not want to hear any more of that. That question is finished.
There is a lot of shouting across the chamber.
