I refer to Question on Notice 621 of 2023, and I ask: (a) Why didn't the government's lawyers oppose the liquidator's application to make the Court proceedings relating to the final settlement confidential; and (b) What reason did the liquidator offer for the application to keep proceedings secret?

(a)-(b) I refer to my answer to QON 621 on 14 February 2023. Any applications filed relating to settlement were filed by liquidators of the Bell Group companies. The Government was not a party to those applications.
