I refer to the claim currently under way between Mr Philip Doust and Western Power (your reference 48-12290 dated 17 August 2015) and ask: (a) did Cabling WA, who were sub-contracted by Western Power, carry out the work at Victoria Road, Malaga on the 5 February 2015 under Australian Standards in particular under 1742.3 Traffic control for works on roads; (b) if yes how far ahead of the works were the motorists given notice of possible traffic hazards this temporary work may cause; (c) in considering Mr Doust’s claim for compensation for the traffic accident, was the site visited by any employee/representative of Western Power as to ascertain the true nature of the complaint in situ; and (d) did Western Power or the Minister make contact with the witness from Polyplastics Pty Ltd, 358 Victoria Road, Malaga, who has given supporting documentation (17/2/2015) to Mr Doust’s claim that no traffic warnings were in place at the time of the work/accident?
