I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following answer is provided on behalf of the
Minister for Environment.
(1) The only
change to the bill is the date, which has changed from 2020 to 2021. Otherwise,
the content of the bill has not changed.
(2) The response to this question is provided in the
attached information, which I seek leave to have incorporated into Hansard . President, by way of
explanation, it lists each group, and the date and detail of those meetings.

Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) sent a consultation
letter that offered a briefing on the proposed amendments to the Conservation
and Land Management Act 1984 (CALM Act). An information sheet on the
proposed amendments was attached to the letter.
8 October
2019
A
response to the consultation letter of 9 August 2019 was received from
Recfishwest.
24 April
2020
DBCA
sent an email offering a further briefing to Recfishwest.
30 April
2020
Recfishwest
responded to the 24 April 2020 email noting its appreciation of the offer for
a briefing but opted not to be briefed at that time.
3 September
2020
Recfishwest
contacted DBCA to request a briefing on the Bill.
8 September
2020
A
briefing was provided to Recfishwest following its contact on
3 September
2020. This briefing occurred via video conference.

Fishing Industry Council (WAFIC)
