I notice the member has referred to Parliamentary Council Question on Notice number 5749, however I believe he meant to make reference to Parliamentary Council Question on Notice number 5759. Therefore, I will answer the questions assuming this is what the member means.
(1) Media Monitors is the media monitoring service used by the Department for Child Protection.
(2) Yes, the Department operates the service on a contract basis.
(3) The service was contracted for an initial 12 month period, plus an additional 12 month extension. The contract is due to cease in June 2008.
