for Balmoral South Iron Ore Project, specifically to the recommendation by the
Department tabled in this House 10 June 2014 (paper number 1695) and
ask: (a) how many times did the Minister
meet with Stephen Woods to discuss the proposal prior to the Department issuing
its recommendation; (b) how many times
did the Minister meet with Giles Nunis to discuss the proposal prior to the
Department issuing its recommendation; (c) how many times did the Minister correspond, by either telephone or
email, with Stephen Woods to discuss the proposal prior to the Department
issuing its recommendation; (d) how many
times did the Minister correspond, by either telephone or email, with Giles

recommendation; and (e) was the proposal

The Department of State Development advises:
(a) Mr Wood as Director General of the Department meets with the Minister regularly to brief him on State development issues. The project proposal was covered during such briefings.
