(2) The percentage of the vehicles within the fleet of each Agency and statutory body that come under your Ministerial jurisdiction, which are LPG/gas powered?
(3) Details as to whether each Agency and statutory body that comes under your ministerial jurisdiction has met the Premier’s commitment in his 2001 election promise to convert Government vehicles to LPG/gas?

(1-4) The policy regarding LPG-fuelled vehicle relates to operational fleet vehicles that are "eligible vehicles", which are essentially six-cylinder passenger vehicles and their utility variants. The requirement is that, where such vehicles are replaced at the end of their lease terms by another six-cylinder vehicle, then 25% of such vehicles should be LPG-powered. There are some exceptions allowed on a business case basis, a significant example being police vehicles. The information provided below relates to vehicles purchased and leased through State Fleet throughout 2003 and 2004. While this covers the majority of the government's fleet, there are some vehicles outside State Fleet for which information is not readily available. In aggregate, the purchase of LPG-powered vehicles has, at 27%, exceeded the target [see tabled paper 402]:
