CORONAVIRUS — GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS —
EASING
645. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the Leader of the House:
I
refer to the Leader of the House's contribution to the motion on notice
on 10 June 2020, in which she committed to ''table the advice
requested in the motion'', and to the motion requesting ''all
health and other advice provided to government to assist it in making decisions
to lift or relax restrictions it has imposed as a result of COVID-19''.
(1) Has any
information been withheld from the papers tabled by the Leader of the House on
16 June 2020?
(2) If yes, why
have papers been withheld and why was the house not informed of such a matter
in her tabling statement?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) The tabled papers included all the advice provided
to me. My understanding is that this was all the advice available not protected
by cabinet confidentiality. I will not be tabling documents that are cabinet- in-confidence,
as is the long-held practice of all governments.
