(1)–(3) An
external contractor is expected to be engaged to undertake the strategy
development, and the relevant procurement documentation is currently being
finalised. Terms of reference for a steering committee to oversee the strategy
work will be finalised in conjunction with the consultancy work commencing,
which is anticipated to begin early in 2017.
(4) WA Country
Health Service works in partnership with regional development commissions
across Western Australia to ensure that health services are coordinated and
meet the needs of regional communities. One of the key functions of the
Regional Development Council is to facilitate liaison between commissions and
relevant government agencies, and the coordination of their respective
functions. Ambulance services are a common service across all commissions, and
as such the RDC is a key stakeholder for the strategy.
