I thank the member for some notice of this question. State funding provided this financial year totals $387 452; that is, $350 000 by the communicable diseases branch of the Department of Health for core funding and consumables to the WA Substance Users Association, and $37 452 by the Alcohol and Drug Authority for the needle and syringe safe disposal program and for printing the Narcan booklet etc. In addition, it will receive commonwealth funding totalling $219 560; that is, $113 000 to assist the regional and metropolitan implementation and/or operations of needle and syringe programs, $34 000 to establish and operate a mobile needle and syringe exchange program - NSEP - in the greater Bunbury region, $38 060 for hepatitis C peer education and $34 000 for a health clinic. The total of state and commonwealth funding is $607 012.
