(1) Will the Minister confirm that the last set of new taxi plates allocated to operators within the Busselton townsite were allocated without them going to tender?
(2) If these plates were not put out for tender, on what basis were new seasonal taxi plates for the Dunsborough area put out for tender and not allocated direct to the current operators within the town?
(3) What is the rationale for issuing a seasonal taxi licence and what impact will this have on the full-time taxi operator’s income?

2. Expressions of interest have been called for the new seasonal plates for the Dunsborough area. They have not been put out to tender. For reasons of transparency and fairness all new country taxi plates are advertised for expressions of interest in local newspapers. 3. The Department for Planning and Infrastructure has identified that there is an on-going higher level of demand for taxis in the summer months in Dunsborough and that this increased demand will sustain an additional taxi licence during the summer months.
