On 30 June 2014 there were 2 207 children on a protection order (until 18). On 30 June 2015 there were 2 465 children on a protection order (until 18). During 2017-18 year to date (until 31 October 2017) there were 44 children that reached 18 years of age on a protection order (Until 18).
During 2015-16 there were 72 protection orders (until 18) revoked, of which 51 were replaced with another order. The 72 children by age group were as follows: • 15 children were aged one to four years; • 26 children were aged five to nine years; • 23 children were aged 10 to 14 years; and • 8 children were aged 15 to 17 years. During 2016-17 there were 62 protection orders (until 18) revoked, of which 52 were replaced with another order. The 62 children by age group were as follows: • 9 children were aged one to four years; • 18 children were aged five to nine years; • 27 children were aged 10 to 14 years; and • 8 children were aged 15 to 17 years. During 2017-18 year to date (until 31 October 2017) there were 23 protection orders (until 18) revoked, of which 21 were replaced with another order. The 23 children by age group were as follows: • 6 children were aged one to four years; • 10 children were aged five to nine years; • 6 children were aged 10 to 14 years; and • 1 child was aged 15 to 17 years.
