SHARK DRUM LINE PROGRAM
1027. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the Leader of the House representing the Premier:
I refer to the government's shark drum line program.
(1) How many tenderers were there for this summer's
cancelled program?
(2) Will the
government be compensating tenderers for costs associated with their bids, now
that the program has been cancelled; and, if not, why not?
(3) If yes to (2), how much money has been budgeted for this
compensation?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1)–(3)
The government is awaiting the closure of the appeal period concerning the
proposal before finalising the procurement process associated with the proposed
drum line program. It is noted that the tender documentation made it clear that
awarding of the contract was dependent on various approvals. There is no
obligation to compensate tenderers for submitting responses.
