ARROW TRAINING SERVICES — REGISTERED
TRAINING ORGANISATION
468. Mr F.M. LOGAN to the Minister for
Training and Workforce Development:
I have a supplementary question. Why
is the WA taxpayer subsidising logistics companies like Coles by providing free
labour as part of a private RTO training program? That is the issue.

AnswerView source ↗

As I said regarding that specific
issue, if the member had given me some notice of the question, I could have
gotten some more information. The fact remains that we have an 88 per cent
student satisfaction rating with our training here in Western Australia; 89 per
cent of our students go on to further education or into employment; we have had
a 26 per cent increase in the student curriculum hours delivered for training
students in Western Australia; and we have held fee increases down to a maximum
of four per cent.
Mr
F.M. Logan interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Cockburn!
Mrs
L.M. HARVEY : In the context of training and the member's comments
about the Arcadia Spectacular , if we
look at what this government does, the Arcadia
Spectacular is going to inspire all of our children into a science future.
Ms
M.M. Quirk interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Girrawheen, I call you to order for the second time.
Are you finished, minister?
Mrs
L.M. Harvey : Yes.
