For businesses in Western Australia that currently value add timber into wooden products, will the minister provide payments in the form of a business exit package and redundancy payments if such concerns can no longer secure appropriate timber resources to operate a viable business? I thank the member for some notice of this question. The answer is no. Eligibility criteria for business exit assistance do not provide for business exit payments to downstream processors. There is no argument for any change to eligibility because it has been established, in consultation with the furniture industry, that there are sufficient timber resources for the industry under current policy settings. That is simply confirmed by the statement I have just read from Mr Max Jensen in answer to a previous question.
