In relation to the Ethnic Business Awards held in Perth, I ask:
(a) can the Minister confirm that the Government provided a $30,000 incentive for the awards to be held in Perth;
(b) which Government Department funded this incentive; and
(i) if not Eventscorp, why not;
(c) what was the economic advantage and multiplier offered to the Government for holding the awards in Perth; and
(d) will the Minister table the sponsorship agreement; and
(i) if not, why not?

(a)    The State Government provided $30,000 in sponsorship.
(b)   The funding was approved under Treasurer's Delegation and administered through the Office of Multicultural Interests.
(i)     It was not a tourism focussed event.
(c)    The Awards were hosted in Perth for the first time in its 22 year history. This brought national recognition to the economic contribution of migrants to Western Australia and successfully promoted cultural diversity as an asset to State development.
(d)   No.
(i)     It is the standard agreement for all Awards sponsors.
