(e)  The Department of Water (DoW) has taken steps to increase and integrate LPG into the existing fleet from nil to six.  The bulk of DoW's fleet is located in regional areas, and our vehicles travel to remote areas where LPG is not often available. As a result  of this, DoW has focussed on the shift from 6 cylinders to 4 cylinders vehicles.
The Drug and Alcohol Office offered the following response:
As at 26 November 2008:
(a) 14 vehicles are leased by the Drug and Alcohol Office.
(b) Of these vehicles:

(ii) Not applicable.
(c) Of these vehicles:

(iii) 2 vehicles are petrol/electric powered.
(d) Of these vehicles:
(i) 11 have four cylinders.

(e) Drug and Alcohol Office staff taking part in the Government Vehicle Scheme have opted for petrol/electric vehicles and there are no suitable four cylinder LPG vehicles on the Department of Health 'Best Buy' list. Six cylinder vehicles will only be leased in the future if they are powered by LPG.
