I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(3) The premise of the question is incorrect. The funding
referred to is commonwealth funding and relates to the Social and
Community Services Pay Equity Special Account Act 2012, which is due to cease
on 30 June 2021. The intent of the funding is to supplement commonwealth
government–funded contracts—this includes joint state and
commonwealth contracts—to help meet any cost implications of the 2012
Fair Work Commission's equal remuneration order. The continuation of
this funding is a matter for the commonwealth government to consider, and
negotiations between the state and the commonwealth are progressing.
