(b) An equity injection of $1.3 million in 2017-18. This $1.3 million is the final instalment of the total $3.4 million determined by the Government. The Forest Products Commission receives Government appropriations only for specific (non-recurrent) projects. As part of the Strategic Assessment of the Perth and Peel Regions (SAPPR) an opportunity for improved whole of Government outcomes was recognised by making the McLarty Pine Plantation area available for sand mining. Government agreed to make a Government Equity Contribution ($3.4 million over two years) to offset the costs for replacement land in substitution for the area FPC had foregone in the McLarty Pine Plantation.
