43. Hon MICHAEL MISCHIN to the Leader of the House:
I refer to the Leader of the House's
discussions with the Premier regarding the appointment on 22 May of the new
President of the Legislative Council.
(1) Was the
termination of legal proceedings being taken by and against the Legislative
Council discussed and what was the substance and outcome of those discussions?
(2) Was the
prospective new President a part of those discussions or informed of them and
what action was agreed to be taken?
