I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following response has been provided by the
Minister for Community Services. The Department of Communities advises the
following.
(1) Target 120 is
being rolled out at 20 sites across Western Australia. Eighteen of the
locations are now operational. Work continues in the remaining two communities
including engaging Aboriginal community–controlled organisations and
recruiting staff.
(2) The total number is 44, plus
153 family members of these young people.
(3) At two sites,
work continues to engage an ACCO and recruit staff. A community youth officer
has been identified for one location and is in the process of being
transferred.
(4) Eight young people plus 28
family members of these young people have exited.
