DRIVER IMPAIRMENT
886. Hon Dr BRIAN WALKER to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer the minister to the
response she provided to my questions on 14 May and 18 June 2024 regarding the establishment of the ministerial working group
into THC and driving, and I note that another two months have passed .
(1) Will the
minister please update the house on the progress to date in establishing and
convening this group, promised some 12 months ago?
(2) Has the group met; and, if not,
why not?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided by the
Minister for Health.
(1)–(2) The
Department of Health is continuing to progress the establishment of the
medicinal cannabis and safe driving working group. The Department of Health is
currently reviewing nominations for membership in line with existing government
policies, guidelines and standards for boards and committees.
