(1) (c) During 2003, 235 alleged offences, where one or more of the specified offences were alleged, were committed from the Court of Petty Sessions (and therefore referred to the DPP) to the District or Supreme Court. (d) Up until 10 August 2004, 145 alleged offences, where one or more of the specified offences were alleged, were committed from the Court of Petty Sessions (and therefore referred to the DPP) to the District or Supreme Court. (2) (c) Of the 235 alleged offences received in 2003, 43 alleged offences were historic and 192 were current.[2] (d) Of the 145 alleged offences received up until 10 August 2004, 27 alleged offences were historic and 118 were current.[3] (3) (c) Of the 127 alleged offences listed for trial in 2003, 102 proceeded to trial.[4] (d) Of the 91 alleged offences listed for trial up until 10 August 2004, 69 alleged offences proceeded to trial.[5] (4) The DPP database does not contain sufficient information to provide an accurate answer to this question.
