CONSULTATION ACTIVITIES
788. Hon SAMANTHA ROWE to the minister
representing the Minister for Lands:
I refer to the consultation and
drafting process for amendments to legislation as part of the rangelands
reform.
(1) Since the
consultation started in 2009, what has been the full cost to the state government
to date of all consultation activities, including but not limited to —
(a) regional and Perth-based forums;
(b) the Rangelands: Sustainable
Economic Development in Western Australia Conference;
(c) presentations to various interest
groups by department staff;
(d) travel and accommodation;
(e) venue hire;
(f) the dollar value of full-time
equivalent staff time;
(g) advertising;
(h) external consultants' and
advisers' fees; and
(i) any other costs?
(2) Does the cost
in (1) include agencies other than the minister's department; and, if
not, what has been the full cost across all state government agencies?

with the consultation and drafting of the Land Administration Amendment Bill
2016 and are available only from 1 July 2013 when the Department of Lands was
formed. Any costs associated with consultation and drafting of amendments for
the period from December 2010 until June 2013 are not readily available in the
short time frame provided.
(a) $22 617.05.
(b) $14 174.40.
(c) $409.09.
(d) $24 048.68.
(e) Venue hire is
included in the cost in the answer to part (a).
(f) $647 247.
(g) $4 795.53.
(h) $29 390.27.
(i) Nil.
