FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUESTS — MINISTER FOR HEALTH
(1) Who is the Freedom of Information officer responsible for making decisions dealing with FOI requests involving the minister’s office? (2) How long has this person been the delegated FOI officer? I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. (1) The Minister for Health is the principal officer of the agency under the Western Australian Freedom of Information Act 1992. Pursuant to section 100(1) of that act, the Minister for Health is the decision maker for those access applications. (2) Section 100 of the Freedom of Information Act 1992 does not permit decisions on applications for access to the documents of a minister to be made by any person other than the minister. (3) Public service administrative, policy and legal officers.
