Co-operative Bulk Handling Ltd—Industrial action
738. Hon Dr Steve Thomas to the minister representing
the Minister for Industrial Relations:
I refer to the
Maritime Union of Australia's industrial action on Co-operative Bulk Handling
Ltd (CBH) at the port of Kwinana, including the lockout of employees amid
rolling strike action around stalled enterprise agreement negotiations.
(1) Since the commencement of industrial action,
has the minister or a ministerial staffer or representative met or engaged with
CBH chief people officer Jacky Connolly or representative staffers from CBH?
(2) Since the commencement of industrial action,
has the minister or a ministerial staffer or representative met or engaged with
representatives from the MUA?
(3) If yes to (1) or (2), on what dates and in
what format was the engagement initiated and who were the participants?
(4) What contingency, plans, strategies and
resolution guidelines have been proposed by the minister or a representative in
conjunction with CBH to ensure that the Kwinana terminal's maintenance window
is serviced before the winter crop harvest and export program become critical?
