(a) The courses offered at Collie Senior High School Trade Training Centre are not full Certificate III trade courses. The following courses which are offered at Collie Senior High School Trade Training Centre are preparatory courses that lead to a trade apprenticeship.
· Certificate II in Electrical Training.
· Certificate I in Automotive Training.
· Certificate II in General Construction in Mortar Trades.
The training is delivered by South West Institute of Technology. There is no school-operated Trade Training Centre in Bunbury.
(b) Two lecturers will be employed to deliver Certificate II in Electrical Training. One lecturer will be employed to deliver Certificate I in Automotive Training. One lecturer will be employed to deliver Certificate II in General Construction in Mortar Trades. Each lecturer will work two days per week.
(c) Certificate II in Electrical Training - 400 hours for Year 11s and 200
hours for those continuing in Year 12. Certificate I Automotive Training - 150 contact hours. Certificate II in General Construction in Mortar Trades - 600 hours split over 18 months (three semesters, of which 120 hours are work placement with site visitations by lecturer).
(d) Certificate II in Electrical Training - one new group of 12 students and one continuing group of 10 students. Certificate I in Automotive Training - 13 students. Certificate II in General Construction in Mortar Trades - 14 students.
