1095. Hon Tjorn Sibma to
the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Skills and TAFE:
I refer to the presence of asbestos in teaching,
learning and working spaces at the Thornlie campus of South Metropolitan TAFE.
(1) When was the most recent asbestos containing
materials inspection conducted across the campus and by whom?
(2) Please table the ACM register and management
plan for the campus and confirm whether the register and management plan are available
for staff and students to access upon request.
(3) How much has been spent on the identification,
management, mitigation and/or removal of asbestos across the campus in since
2017?
(4) How much is allocated to be spent on the above
actions across the campus for the 2025–26 budget year and beyond?

(1) It was in January 2024 by Atlas Industrial
Safety Consulting Pty Ltd.
(2) The ACM management plan is available on the South
Metropolitan TAFE staff intranet. The ACM register and ACM management plan are
available to both staff and students upon request.
I table the attached documents.

(3)–(4) The mitigation and removal of
asbestos, where required, is included in the ongoing program of remedial works.
