In relation to the 12 historic Henderson Street cottages built in the 1850s in Fremantle, I ask:
(a) is the Minister aware that these cottages are in a state of disrepair;
(b) is the Government planning to restore these cottages in Fremantle; and
(i) if so, what funds have been allocated for the restoration and what is the timeframe for works;
(ii) if not, why not; and
(c) what are the plans for the future of these cottages?

The Department of Housing advises:
(a)Yes
(b)(i)-(ii) The Government has a plan for the repair and return to habitable standard of the cottages that requires the formal agreement of a number of parties.  Details will be released as soon as this formal agreement has been achieved.
(c) It is currently planned that the cottages remain in public ownership for the time being and to be used for social and/or affordable housing.
