TREASURER’S ADVANCE AUTHORISATION BILL 2010 — PREVIOUS TREASURER’S COMMITMENTS
I refer to the nine occasions during consideration in detail of the Treasurer’s Advance Authorisation Bill 2010 on which the previous Treasurer said that he would provide additional information on specific issues. (1) Why is the government yet to provide any such additional information to members? (2) As it has been more than a month since these commitments to provide information were made, when will all nine of these assurances be honoured? (3) Will the Treasurer immediately provide an undertaking to table this information by the end of today’s sitting; and, if not, why not? Mr C.J. BARNETT

(1)–(3) I cannot recall the nine items, obviously; in fact, I do not have any idea at all what the nine items are. However, I will ask staff members to look at them, and if I can provide that information, I undertake to do so. I will not undertake to do that by the close of business today, but I will look at the information, and if it can be provided, I will provide it. The SPEAKER : The Minister for Regional Development indicated that he had a document he would table for the remainder of this day’s sitting. [The paper was tabled for the information of members.]
