ELECTION
PROMISES — PREMIER'S STATEMENT
596. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
Leader of the House representing the Premier:
I am going to ask the question, even though I have been
advised that no answer is available.
I refer to the Premier's statement on Nova radio on
10 June 2014 in relation to election promises.
(1) Will the Premier provide a list of the 58 election
commitments identified?
(2) Will the Premier provide a list of the 42 election commitments
that have been delivered?
(3) If no to (1) or (2), why not?
In the last 10 minutes I have been advised that as to two of
the questions I lodged today at 11 o'clock this morning, I would not be
able to get answers and I should ask them again tomorrow. Earlier today I was
also advised that another question I had lodged would not be able to be
answered today, and could I ask it tomorrow. That is three out of the five
questions I have lodged. On 10 June—the one to the Premier I have just
read out—the Premier also advised the public of Western Australia that
his office had been working extensively to prepare the list of promises and
those that had been delivered already. The Premier has been madly tweeting
about how his promises are on track, but in the five hours since I asked the
question he is not able to answer the question about which of the 58 election
commitments he has identified. I find that astonishing. The other two questions
I asked were to the Minister for Health, and I have been advised that I will
not get answers for them either.
The
PRESIDENT : Order; I think that drifted into a statement rather than
a question.
Hon Sue Ellery : Yes, it did, but deliberately.

I thank the honourable member for the question.
I have not received a response at this stage, but if it does
come by the end of question time, I will provide it. Having said that, I have
all the questions the honourable member asked me.
Hon Sue Ellery : I am sure you have; you need to
talk to your colleagues.
