LANDCORP - WALPOLE DEVELOPMENT
I have a supplementary question. Does the minister concede that with the new headworks charge, coupled with the limited community service obligation support from government, LandCorp will show even less interest in regional development, particularly in the south west? Ms A.J.G. MacTIERNAN

We have been able to demonstrate quite clearly that when we came into government, the amount that LandCorp was spending in regional Western Australia each year was in the order of $6 million to $10 million. We are now up to more than $160 million; it is an incredible difference. We are undertaking projects throughout Western Australia, including in the south west and the great southern. We are out there delivering in a way that LandCorp has never before delivered in regional Western Australia, and certainly that did not happen under the previous government.
